Detox is important to undergo at the beginning of treatment. This is the process that allows the brain and the body to begin to communicate in an uninhibited manner. Once the client’s system is free of all foreign toxins, the brain will prompt the body to recognize that it is no longer reliant on alcohol or substance abuse to survive. Comprehensive assessments are administered to determine what level of support each client needs for detox.
